Amie Deep Pore Exfoliating Polish*

Hey Everyone,

For the last 5 months I have been using the Amie Deep Pore Exfoliating Polish as my in shower and only facial exfoliator.

The Amie Deep Pore Exfoliating Polish should be used when your face is damp, which instantly gets brownie points with me as it means I can include it as apart of my shower routine.

I want to say straight away, that if you have sensitive skin, you probably are not going to enjoying using this product. That is only because of the fact that the exfoliator is actually very harsh. I would not use this more than once a week because you would then be damaging your skin. I only tend to use this when I feel like my face is in need of a real deep clean. Which is generally after a hard day of work or I am in the mood to pamper myself. While this is a harsh exfoliator I have never had any issues with my skin from it. My skin did not break out, nor did the texture change after using it for 3+ months.

Another bonus I find with this product is that you do not need a lot of product to cover your face. I generally find with skin products I need to use a little extra then advertised to actually cover my face and get full use of the product. With the Amie Deep Pore Exfoliating Polish I find that less is generally more. The size of a small-ish grape is all I use, and I am glad as it means that the product lasts longer.

One aspect that I did have a little trouble dealing with was the smell, if smell is important to you, or it affects your skin, sadly you probably should stay away from this product. There is a strong fake smell to the product, not bad, at least to me, but it is something to keep in mind. Over time I have noticed it less, but it is still a strong smell and something to keep in mind.

When I first received this product, it was as a PR sample, but during the most recent Priceline Sale I found myself picking up a backup. I know the one in my shower is finally starting to run low and the idea of being without it shocked me.

Overall I really do enjoy this exfoliator, and I am so glad that I tried this and that it has become a part of my weekly pamper session in the shower.

What exfoliator should I try next?

Shanghai Lil and The Scarlet Fez Soap Review!

Hey Everyone!

It sure has been a while since I talked about this amazing brand. I have since had the chance to start using these beautiful soaps! I collect soaps, so that is why it has taken me so long to getting around to these, but here I am so lets get into it.

My first impression on this amazing brand can be found here.

IMG_1447

At the moment these are still the only two soaps that I own from Shanghai Lil but I will, without a doubt, be getting more the next time I go shopping. I am sorry but I haven’t taken photos of the soap, so please take my word for it that they are beautiful.

I have now used soap in the scent Riviera Escapade which is described as a Classic Lavender & Citrus scent, I can honestly say that I have never smelt a soap before that has calmed me down in the way this soap has. When I first smelt it, I had been a bit stressed about everyone, after taking a whiff of this I calm right down. Straight away this soap was a winner in my books, from there I knew without a doubt that I would love this soap throughout its use. Of course, I was right, I have almost used this up and I seriously need another one.

I am currently using Winter field which has a Bracing Lavender & Rosemary scent and I find that I am not in love with the scent as much as my first one. This doesn’t mean that I don’t like it though, it’s just when I shop next I will repurchase the first one instead. It has been good trying this one because I had forgotten what it was like when I first opened the packaging! These soaps are amazing the whole way through but you do have to make sure that you keep the soap wet otherwise it can drag/ stick to your skin a little. Nothing serious but something to keep in mind!

Although I love the scent of these soaps, it is not actually my favourite aspect, my favourite part is how much it lathers when I use it. For me, this lathers perfectly, its not too much that I can’t see my skin through it, but it is enough, that when I shave, I know exactly where I have been. When the soap is nearly finished, I have found that it holds its integrity  pretty well. By this I mean that even though the soap is almost non-existant, it is still relatively easy to use and get a really nice lather. I have had other soaps in the past where once it got to a certain size it was just not worth my time.

Shanghai Lil’s Cold Pressed Soaps are honestly some of the bests soaps I have used in a long time. I cannot recommend their soaps enough. When I am shopping next I will make sure to try and step out of my Lavender zone. I am hoping that the others are just as good as the first ones I have tried!

What have you tired from Shanghai Lil? Let me know below!

I would love to see you again, so lets hang out on:

QV Oil Free Moisturiser Matte Finish*!

Hey Guys!

Long time, no see and I’m back and with a review! I have been sent a new moisturiser, and if I’m honest, I was a little nervous to try it because I have been a die hard fan of Estee Lauder Skin Care for a long time. But when I got the email for this and it mentioned a matte finish, I didn’t hesitate and I jumped on board!

IMG_1926

Packaging

Basically, I really like how simple the design is. It is a no-nonsense deign with all of the information you need on the front. I do enjoy how the ‘matte finish’ is highlighted in silver. My only complaint would be that because the moisturiser is so thin, there is a high chance you will squeeze out too much product.

Review

I have an incredibly oily t-zone with the worst being around my nose. Some days it’s honestly gross how much oil can be built up around my nose. I had never really thought about trying to ‘fix’ it, but now that I have changed moisturiser I realise how easy it can be!

I have been using this product for well over a month and I can’t imagine my life without it. I have sensitive skin when it comes to face/base products so as I mentioned I was a little nervous to try this. Well, that has changed and I have since expanded and bought myself the night cream from QV. I found that when I first started using this I did get little bumps on my face. This did not bother me because they were not big, painful and I’m not totally sure it was related to this in the first place (always dry your face out of the shower with a different towel! It really does make a difference). I also mildly expected that to happen as I had not changed up my skin care for a very long time.

This moisturiser is great for summer because it is thin and you do not need a lot of product to cover your face. It sinks in quickly and leaves you feeling refreshed, which is important both in the warmer and cooler months. I have noticed a change in how oily my skin is. I rarely wake up now with oil around my nose which I am so happy about! I honestly love this product, I can tell that I am running low and so will have to go out and get another!

Location and Price

This product is available at Priceline and will only set you back $16.60.

Have you tried this moisturiser? What do you think! Let me know in the comments below.

Bitchinskin Body Scrub~*!

Hey Guys!

Today I am talking all about this body scrub that I was lucky enough to receive from an event! I am always on the lookout for new body scrubs as I use them regularly as a part of my shower routine! (explained in this post)

I am going to go over a few things in this post, such as how I felt about the product and how and why I decanter it! So get ready!

IMG_1516

Here is what the BitchinSkin looks like in all its glory! This is the front of the packaging and I find that I like how simple and straight to the point it is. It brings things back to the basics without being plain and I really enjoy that.

IMG_1519

This is the start of what is on the back of the packaging. I didn’t take an overview shot because I wanted to go through all the sections and talk through them and felt that an overview didn’t give it justice. As you can see this is at the top of the product and is a nice quick and simple explanation of what the scrub is meant to do!

Hello, meet BitchinSkin

The body scrub exploding with good stuff to brighten, purify, smooth and tone. I’ll dig deep to sooth post-workout soreness and target pesky skin conditions such as acne, flakiness & irritation as well as cellulite and wrinkles.

This is something that is right up my ally! Granted I do not use this as a post-workout scrub because honestly, I don’t go to the gym. So I am sorry but I will not be able to comment on how effective this scrub is at helping with post-workout soreness. But as for skin conditions, that is something that I can comment on! As I have mentioned in the past, I have trouble shaving my legs unless I use a scrub. So I was super excited to find out this would help with that!

In these two photos it displays what the main ingredients in the scrub are, as well as the instructions and all the ingredients in general. I like how upfront and no-fuss this information is. Its in big writing so it is easy to see and clearly displayed so you don’t have to hunt around for it.

As you can see the main ingredients are Coconut, Matcha (Green Tea) and Peppermint. This is unsurprising seeing as the scrub is called a Matcha body scrub and when I opened the packaging I got a HUGE whiff of peppermint. I will say that if you are someone that dislikes the smell of peppermint, you will NOT like this scrub. I am not a huge fan of the smell, but I can get by with it. So that is why I am giving that caution.

IMG_1525

You might be wondering why I de-potted this, and the reason is simple, because I wanted to get as much use out of this scrub as I could! I was a little worried about using the packaging with wet hands so it just felt natural to put it in a different pot! I used a spoon to get everything out and I really scrapped around to get it! As you can see it filled up this pot really nicely and I am glad! Once I was finished shoveling it out into the pot I was glad I had transferred it because I know I would have missed out on so much product!

For my actual review I will write this in two parts, because like a noob I didn’t actually read the instructions until it came to taking these photos! I used it incorrectly the first time, but I still want to comment on it because I am sure I’m not the only one who has done that!

First AttemptMildly failed attempt

So, the first time I used this just like I would any other scrub, I jumped in the shower cubical and started scrubbing away! I found that using it this way did make it hard to spread around my leg. I didn’t really like the texture of the scrub and used a lot more than I thought I would need to just scrub my legs. The smell of peppermint was really strong and I wasn’t a super fan. That being said though I did still really like how my skin felt afterwards! But needless to say I am super glad I have read the instructions to use this properly!

Second Attempt = Things made sense

Ahhh, in this case second time was the charm because this time I used the product correctly! I jumped in, shampooed, conditioned and then shut off the shower and started scrubbing! Now, let me tell you, this was a totally different experience then the first try! The consistency this time was a lot easier to work with. The product spread out better across my skin, I also found that it was more abrasive this way. This is really important to me as I know this helps my legs in the long run! As I run my hands up and down my leg a day after, I find that my leg is still pretty hair free. Which is excellent because in the past it has been known to grow back by evening!

I noticed the smell was a lot less concentrated using it this way, another thing I was thankful for! I noticed as well that the product went a lot further on my body. I probably did my arms and legs with the same amount as I had just used on my legs in the first try.

On my arms I really liked this as well! I concentrated it on the top half because I do have some skin issues there as well. I felt that it did a great job! But when I stepped out of the shower to let the scrub rest on my skin, my arms did feel tighter? I’m not really sure, but I could have just been imagining things from scrubbing so hard! Even now (roughly a week later while editing this post again) my arms are still feeling super smooth and not bumpy. I think I will save this scrub for my arms, because I have noticed an actual difference in my skin quality and that is amazing!

Overall my second attempt at using this scrub was a lot more promising than the first attempt. Please remember that it was totally my own fault but I thought I would still add it in because it did affect my initial thought on the scrub. I am glad though that I used it properly because I find I really do enjoy using this!

Let me know if there are other scrubs out there you would like me to try!

Empties #1!

Hey Guys!

I don’t even remember the last time I did one of these, and my box was in need of a clean out so here we go! Be prepared there is a lot, but I have taken photos in a more bulk style so that way this post shouldn’t be super long.

IMG_1451

Neutrogena Deep Clean Cleanser is the cleanser I have been using in the shower for ages, I honestly haven’t used all of this up but I seriously just wanted to try something else. There is nothing wrong with this product and I did like it. As you can see I did get it on sale, I would probably get it again if it was on sale.

LUSH Rose Jam, I think I got this for Christmas and had a jolly old time using this up! I like how this smelted, but I generally don’t use LUSH products anymore. If I did get this again though I would still use and love it!

Body Shop Body Scrub, I got this while it was on sale because I love using body scrubs in the shower (Annoying Legs and Shaving I explain why in this post) I enjoyed the smell of this and how soft it left my skin afterwards. I was a little worried though the first few times I used this as it did change the colour of my skin while I was scrubbing. Thankfully it didn’t stain me, but it is something to keep in mind.

Anatomical The Buff Stuff Citrus Body Scrub, is an inexpensive body scrub which I love to use in the shower because you don’t need a lot of it and it’s in a squeezy bottle! I love to take this travelling because you can, in a pinch, use this as your soap for the day and still come out smelling amazing! This isn’t a super abrasive scrub and I really need to go get some more!

IMG_1452

Estee Lauder Day Wear Moisturiser is my daily moisturiser that I have been using for years. I am honestly always nervous to move away from this as I know my skin loves this and never acts up from it. It does have a strong smell if you aren’t used to it. I will always re-purchase this because it’s a staple in my life.

Glam Glow Mud Mask I really enjoyed using this and I do want to pick it up again. I remembered it did have a strong-ish smell but it didn’t really bother me. There were also bits of sea weed? I’m not sure but it wasn’t something I was expecting to see them. I really liked this though! The price point does make it hard to justify re-purchasing though.

Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Eyes, these aren’t full sizes, in fact I have never had to pay for this product and I have used it for years. These are deluxe samples you get when you pay for the gifts with purchases. I enjoy using this and I do think that it does help. But then, like I said I’ve been using it for so long I don’t really notice anymore haha.

IMG_1453

M.A.C. Gently Off Eye Makeup Remover is something I use everything to help take off my liquid lipsticks and eyeshadow and mascara. I know there are cheaper alternatives out there but this is a product that I really enjoy using because it works super quick and easy. I also like getting this because MAC do have a recycling program, so I know that these wont contribute to landfill.

M.A.C. Brush Cleanser I use this to spot clean my brushes after doing my makeup! I really like using this as its quick and simply and doesn’t leave an oder on my brushes.

Neutrogena Alcohol Free Toner I think this would have to be my favourite toner that I have so far tried, its easy to use and it doesn’t burn my skin or affect it in anyway which I’m thankful for. This is a product that is easy to get and also goes on sale often!

Estee Lauder Mirco Essence I don’t really remember what using this was like, but I do remember that I did enjoy using this! I got this sample either with gift with purchase or it was just gifted to me to try. I know that I would not spend the money on it though as I have other products that I enjoy using.

IMG_1454

Loreal Infallible 24H-Matte is a product that I have a huge place in my heart for, I wrote this review on this product and I do love it. I have found now though that this shade is too dark for me. Sadly as well this is the lightest shade that I can get here in Australia. So I will have to wait and see if I tan up before I can wear this again. Either way though, an amazing foundation and worth the money! (I would always wait for a sale though).

Loreal Infallible Mattifying Base is the primer that I use every day! This took sooo long to use up which too me is a great sign for a product. I really like how this product feels on my skin and so I continue to use it and love it! I am now on my second tube and loving it!

Makeup For Ever Mist & Fix is my hands down favourite setting spray. I am so sad that I have ran out of this and that it is so hard to get in Australia! I do have others that I like but this is still my favourite. Hopefully Sephora will get their online stock in order so that I can get my hands on it again!

Urban Decay De-Slick Makeup Setting Spray is the setting spray I tried before the Mist & Fix and I really enjoyed using this! It is an amazing setting spray that works super well! I am glad that you can get this in a smaller size so that you can try it, travel with it and not commit to the giant size.

IMG_1455

Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara I used to LOVE this mascara… in the sample size. I do still like using this mascara, but I much prefer using it in the sample size because there is less product in the tube. As I said I did like this mascara but I found that unless I spent the time to wipe off all the extra product every time then it would gunk on my lashes. So overall I do like this mascara, just not in the full size.

M.A.C. Lipstick in Ruby Woo I think is the first MAC lipstick that I ever bought. I kind of regret buying this because it is so DRYING. I have not picked up this lipstick for years, so my plan is the back-to-mac this and get something else. If you figured out how to make this work congratulations! But I have simply moved on to more user friendly red lipsticks.

Maybelline New York Baby Lips is a product that I am so proud of myself for using up! How often does someone go through a lip product? Even more so when it’s a lipbalm, something we always lose before we finish it. This isn’t my favourite Baby Lips flavour, but I do still like it a lot, I am pretty sure I have a backup so I will simply start working through that next!

Maybelline New York Lash Sensational Mascara is my favourite mascara at the moment and I am sad that I ran out of it. I find that this gives me amazing volume and length. I know that some people don’t like this mascara and that is fair enough. But this is my favourite and I can’t wait to work through some of my other mascaras so I can get back to using this!

Kat Von D Tattoo Liner in Trooper is a product that I used on and off and I found that I would always come back to it because it is an amazing liner. It is easy to use and lasts all day without an issue. I always reach for this if I don’t know hat liner I want to use for that day. It’s super black and I have never had this transfer, it can even be a little difficult to take off bur I don’t mind this as it just goes to show how well it can last on your eyes. The only thing that could be considered a downer would be that it can be hard to make a really thin line. As you can also see from this photo the silver writing doesn’t last too well if you’re using it daily. This didn’t bother me but after a while it doesn’t look as pretty as when you first bought it. Other then that, this is hands down my favourite liner.

NARS Radient Creamy Concealer in Vanilla is something I have gone through many times  and is a product that I do love using. I do find that that this still creases on me. I have yet to find a concealer that doesn’t crease, but the coverage it gives me is what I’m mainly chasing. I have really dark under eyes and this does a great job of covering them up without looking silly. Though with the price of NARS products going up at Mecca, I think I might have to try and find something else to use. Either way though, this is a great concealer and this will always have a place in my heart.

Wow! I am sorry just such a long post! But as you can see it was a little over due, hopefully I won’t leave it so long before the next one. Let me know if there is anything you would like me to review in the future.

Simple Skin Care Tips

Hey Guys!

Skin care is something that everyone should do, no matter your gender or time constraints or anything like that. Your skin is important and you should look after it! But what are some simple steps to get you started on the right track? All around on the internet there are people revealing their skin care. And to be honest, it’s too expensive and high maintance most of the time. Which ultimately is unfair for most of the general public.

So here are a few simple things you can do to help keep your skin looking happy and refreshed!

  1. Don’t Touch Your Face!

I get asked mildly often how I keep my face so pimple free, and this is honestly one of the biggest and easiest tips that I have! Touching your face a lot transfers what ever is on your hands directly to your face. Meaning that all the dirt and grime from the things you have been touching or using from the day is now also on your face. I personally have a habit of touching my face and to try and counteract this, I move my hand from my face to my neck. That way I’m still getting that sense without transferring everything to my skin. It also means if you’re wearing makeup that it wont transfer to your hands.12767402_10208630364015731_1511151810_n

2. Always Take Your Makeup Off!

I don’t care what time of the night (or morning) it is, if you have makeup on you take it off before you go to bed! Leaving it on your skin suffocates it and lets all the grime from day have a chance to sink into your skin as well as your makeup. This will clog pores and give you pimples or blemished skin. Even if you just use a makeup wipe to get the majority of it off is fine. Just don’t leave a whole face on! (Else you might wake up in the middle of the night after clubbing with glitter in your eyes. Not fun.)

12575862_10208393810422039_462866244_n

3. Cleanse!

Now this is something that I have introduced into my shower routine. That way it happens at least once a day and I don’t have to worry about getting water all over myself! Cleansing once a day will help get all the gunk out of your skin. Find a time that you think fits your time constraints and habits and get cleansing! There are hundreds of items out there that you can use either in the shower or out of it! It just depends when you want it to do.

4. Moisturize!

If you start cleansing your face, make sure that you also start to moisturize it. When cleansing you leave your skin open to the wonderful world around us! By moisturising you help keep the bad stuff out and keep the good stuff in. Just remember that cleansing can take a lot out of your skin and moisturizing will also help put a lot of the good things back it. It’ll also help soften your skin which is also a bonus!

These are just four basic points of skin care. A place to start if you are trying to get better at looking after your skin. Remember your skin is important and is only as good as you treat it! Don’t try jumping into the deep end and have a full on skin care routine, because you most likely wont stick to it. Build it up and see what your comfortable with.

(OH) Deer Sugar Review!

(Oh) Deer Sugar is a brand that started online and now has a physical store in Adelaide, South Australia! This is super exciting and when the store first opened I went with some fellow bloggers and checked it out! You can see my thoughts here and also what I first picked up! Now most of these products I have used up, but there is one that I still haven’t tried yet and I will explain why when I get to it!

12277291_10208068426527645_1181964525_n

My most recent purchase has been this Shower Moose in the scent (OH) Confetti Fawn which is a scent that I have used in the past and you will see below! Because I have used this scent before I knew that I would like this! I have never really seen or tried a product like this but I was super excited to! This was around $22AUD and on the packaging says you should get around 30 days worth. So for me this is going to be a bit more of a treat product than a daily one. I have tried this once and it did confuse me for a bit until I got it on my Body Shop Sponge, but after I got it working it worked just like any other soap! It smelt great and the smell lingered which I was super happy about!!

IMG_0044IMG_0043

This is a product that I used up a LONG time ago. This is the Candied Blueberry Pie which is a bubble bath product. I think I used this when I was visiting my BF and it was so yummy and worked super well! I would pick this up again but I now live in a unit that doesn’t have a bath! (A moment of silence for me) But if I go on holiday and know that I have a bath at the hotel I would def get this again to treat myself! I think this was around $3 – $5AUD.

IMG_0045

Sadly I am not the biggest fan of this soap, my first complaint is that it didn’t last long (but when I last talked to the staff they said they were fixing this, so the product might be different now). But for this scent I was so bloody happy this didn’t last long! This is in the scent (OH) Use Your Melon, which is a watermelon and lime scent. I am so sorry for saying bad things, but I HATED this and it smelt so bad on me, my sister even agreed with me. I hated this so much and I couldn’t be done with it fast enough.

IMG_0046

After coming off of a sour note, this is one of my favourite scents from (OH) Deer Sugar, as this is the same sent as the Shower Moose. This is again (OH) Confetti Fawn which is described as a Jelly Beans & Popping Candy scent. I love this so much because it is very sweet without being totally crazy! There is actually popping candy in there and this makes it into a nice scrubbing soap which is nice! The reason that there is an extra chunk is because (OH) Deer Sugar will give out samples and this is how I got that!

IMG_0047

This is the only product I haven’t tried yet, and the reason I haven’t is because I am going to save this for when I go traveling again! Because these soaps don’t last super long, (breaking them into thirds will help with longevity) I thought it would be good to save it for then. This way I have the chance of using it up and bringing something back in its place! Now because I haven’t used this I can’t comment on how it smells on the body, but in the packet it smells AMAZING!

Recently I was also lucky enough to try their newest product Salted Caramel Body Scrub and OMG I am going to be picking this up! I LOVE THIS SO MUCH! It smells amazing and left my skin feeling super amazing. If you get the chance, seriously go in-store and give this a smell! You won’t regret it! Thank you so much for letting me sample this body scrub I seriously loved it! (Sorry I didn’t take a photo of it)

If you want to look at what other products that have here is their website: http://www.ohdeersugar.com/

They also ship internationally and have a few different social media pages! So this gives you the perfect chance to really check out their stuff! Another thing that I really love about this brand is that there isn’t glitter in everything, which is something that really annoys me about LUSH. I love baths, but not when I have the shower and clean the bath again afterwards.

Let me know what you think of their products and what you would recommend!

Estee Lauder – Advanced Night Repair

This a product that I have been using for years but don’t really talk about because of the price. The Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair is something that I use every day, morning and night, as a part of my skin care routine.

About three years ago, Mum took me into Myer, to Estee Lauder and literally asked them to fix my face, my skin was dry, super red cheeks and just not having a good time. When we went Estee Lauder was having a gift with purchase (spend $70 and you get a bag full of goodies) which is what we did! I got many other things that I also still use today.

IMG_1213

One thing I will say is that in my 3 years of using this product, I have only ever bought the full size once! And the only reason I bought it, is because one of the Myers near where I live was having little gift bags, where they put 3-4 full-size products in a bag, and then 4-5 sample sizes products in there as well to increase the value. In this bag came the full size of this, which I was glad for as it meant that I could refill my deluxe sample size containers.

For many years I have only been using the deluxe sample sizes that came with my gift with purchases. I never ran out for 2.5 years! This shows that you don’t have to purchase the full product to still be able to use it! Now I won’t lie, I do have an advantage in that my Mum also uses a lot of Estee Lauder products, the Youth Dew perfume is her scent so when she is close to running out, she waits and gives me the bag only taking what she wants. So I have my own bags and hers, but even then, last year I decided to give one of my friends a whole heap of samples because I simply wasn’t using them.

Now that I have the full size, I can say that I am not a huge fan of the packaging, I feel like I would use too much of it at once as it is a syringe(?) type applicator, where you put it in the pot and squeeze the cap and it sucks up the product. Sorry, seriously can’t remember the proper word for it! Either way, with this form of packaging I knew I would be using too much on my skin. To stop this, I just transfer the product to the sample size! This makes me feel like I have more control over how much I use which I’m thankful for.

In the image above, the product on the right is the deluxe sample size, and this would honestly last me maybe 3-4 months of daily use. I try not to use too much because I always want this to last so I wouldn’t run out. Now that I have a couple backups and the full size I am a little less restricted, that being said though, I still concentrate this on my nose (I have a crease in my nose from the way I sleep) and a wrinkle near my mouth (I bite my cheeks, nervous habit… Mum was right! It did give me wrinkles!) otherwise I will just gently massage this all over my face.

On the Estee Lauder website it suggests using several drops, depending on how big your face is, you might, but I only use a couple and a pea sized amount on my finger. This is because I do have oily skin and I don’t want to put too many things on my skin under my foundation. At night though I might be a little more heavy handed as I will only be going to bed.

The big question, do I think this product is worth $95AUD for the 30mL or $140AUD for the 50mL… I don’t know, and I only say this because I have survived so long WITHOUT having to actually pay for the product. But if they did pull the product out of their gift bags (touch wood) I think I would probably cry, but then go out and buy it. But I would also go out and try and find something a bit cheaper, and only use this on my two wrinkles. Because this product DOES help reduce them, I have seen a change in my skin when I stop using this, or when I start to bite my cheeks a lot and the wrinkle deepens, this product does help even things out.

So overall, if you want to try this, wait until a gift with purchase, I normally get a new foundation and concealer and this bumps me over the $70. Otherwise, ask for samples, a while ago I got handed heaps, and I gave them to my friends. They have since told me they deposited them into a small container and using them that way!

What do you guys think of this product?

Mask of Magnaminty – Lush Face Mask

Lush is a brand that is well known throughout the beauty community both for their masks and their bath products! I love using both types of products and really need to get better at using them in general! I am not someone who uses a mask regularly, which I know I should try and get into, but oh well, that is something that I need to work! This post is going to be about the face mask Mask of Magnaminty which is a face mask that you DON’T need to keep in the fridge, which is something I really like, because I honestly forget I have a mask if it’s in the fridge.

This is what it looks like in the pot! Now I know that the packaging isn’t in English, besides the title, and thats because I was in Japan when I picked this up! I was looking for a face mask and this was a product I already knew and tried. So I knew what this would do for me without having to try and translate everything. Now obviously I have used this, this isn’t what it looks like when you get it from the store, and if it does, I would be worried!

This product, as the name sort of suggests, have a very strong minty smell, it reminds me of Extra chewing gum and I love the smell of that. So I love the smell of this too! It can be a little over powering in the pot, but that is to be expecting concidering its just full of it. This is a mask that does have little junks of stuff in it. This is so when you wash off the mask, you can exfoliate your face a little as well. The pieces aren’t sharp, they are quite dull and large, so there is no threat of scratching your face up.

This is what it looks like on! You can see the lumps that I was talking about in this photo, they don’t feel weird on the skin, but can make it a little difficult to put on, so be aware of that! The minty smell isn’t too strong once on the face, unless you do like what I have done, and stick it right under your nose. In which case, yea, it can still be strong, but seeing as I like the smell of mint, it doesn’t bother me.

This face mask is a relevtivly short one, in that you only wear this for 5 – 10 minutes before washing it off. So I will generally put this on before getting into the shower and then just washing it off in there. This, for me is the best way to rememeber to use face masks because I don’t have to go out of my way to wash it off and try and not get the rest of myself drenched.

I have mildly sensetive skin and this product doesn’t bother my face at all which is something that I am really thankful for! For myself, I like to put a little extra on my nose and chin, while just making sure that everything else is lightly covered. My nose and chin are my biggest concern areas, so thats why I do this. I find that this does leave my face feeling tight afterwards. But once I have finished up with my skin care routine, that isn’t the case. I also kinda like that tightening feeling because then it lets me know that the mask has indeed done its job.

Overall I really do enjoy using this face mask and have picked it up many times in the past, and will probably pick it up again in the future when I run out. I love how this smells and I enjoy what this does for my skin, which is 2 big points when re-purchasing a product. It’s also important to remember NOT to throw away the packaging! Because when you have 5 empty pots, you can bring them in-store and get a free fresh face mask (this is one that NEEDS TO GO IN THE FRIDGE) so keep that in mind!!
