Shisedo x Sailor Moon

Hey Everyone,

Before leaving for Japan, I had heard about this collaboration and so made sure to keep an eye out for it. I also just wanted to pick up more Sailor Moon themed makeup in general.

Luckily enough, I found the collection, and even better I got to purchase it duty free! Because I got it duty free though, I have only recently been able to open these up and touch everything.

18254673_10212789182263588_942206995_n

First up in the Skin Sensor, now, I will be honest, I’m pretty sure that this is a primer of some kind, I can’t read foundation anywhere on the packaging, and even then the product is very thin and doesn’t provide any coverage. I will be interested to try this out because it felt amazing on the back of my hand. There is a scent but it is subtle and not offensive at all.

18280618_10212789182303589_2095392816_n

Ah, my favourite piece of the collaboration, I mean look at that beautiful packaging! I cannot begin to describe how thankful I am that I found this collection and picked it up! Inside is a powder that I think will be a little too dark for me (there were only two shades to pick from) but that is ok. Once summer comes around I should be able to use it. You can’t see it in this photo, and I tried photographing it but, on the mirrored section there is pink writing that reminds owners that this indeed a part of the Sailor Moon collection and I am glad they included that. The compact is sturdy and the mirror in the lid is amazing, I am torn between wanting to take it with me everything and leaving it at home so it never gets damaged.

If you get the chance to get this collection and you are a huge Sailor Moon Fan I say do it! I have no regrets and I am so thankful that I was there and had the chance to bring these products home with me.

I will keep you updated when I finally get the chance to try the primer!

Japan Holiday 2017

Hey Everyone!

Long time no see, recently I went on a holiday to Japan with my partner! Ironically this is both of our first times going to Japan on a holiday, not my first time to Japan in general though. I wanted to show my partner where I lived and have the chance to catch up with some of my friends! I am always looking for a reason to go back to Japan, so I was glad to go back with my partner.

18318540_10212789192543845_1602172889_o

We were gone a total of 11 days, two being taken up by transit. So naturally, first on the agenda was actually getting to Japan! This was also our first time travelling together, thankfully though we are both seasoned travellers and so the idea of being trapped in a small space for a long period of time wasn’t an issue. Our flight was around 8:30am, hence the crazy expressions.

Day 1 of being in Japan and of course we were eating amazing food! Thankfully through the power of free hotel wi-fi, I had been able to message one of my friends and we caught up and went out for dinner. I always love eating out with him because he always knows the best places to go! The food was both creative and delicious. I don’t remember what the first photo is, but the second is tempura prawns, so delicious, I miss this food.

18302320_10212789189103759_573612166_n

Todai-ji is a temple in Nara that has a 15m tall Buddha in it and I really thought Sean would get a kick out of seeing it! Plus I knew this would be a great place for photos and a place to get gifts for family and friends. I felt a little weird being back here without my friends. But this photo with Sean more then makes up for it! Candid selfie for the win!!

18302323_10212789190063783_618222767_n

Train selfie time, Sean and I both agree that the public transport system in Japan is amazing, although Sean hates how many stairs there are, which I can’t blame him for. Riding the train was always a fun experience. The first train we got on Sean was already commenting how many people were staring at us! Thankfully we avoided peak hour, so we were never fully sardined into the train, but while in Tokyo we did get on some pretty busy trains. Sean was fine and it don’t think it bothered him at all which I am thankful for.

One of my favourite comments from Sean is when we visited Shibuya, because he wanted to see the crossing that is so popular in movies. He was incredibly underwhelmed by how small the crossing is, and commented ‘they make it look so big in the movies’. Sorry to ruin your dream dear.

Food, so much delicious food, we only had one mild dud throughout the trip, and even then it was only because we liked other food better! Sean had a great time trying new food (while constantly battling to get a fork) and I loved eating my favourite food. Our favourite dessert is 100% Pablo cheesecake, if you are in Japan you need to try Pablo! Even the mini Pablo’s are delicious. The place we returned to 3-4 times was Torikizuko, which is a kabab place, where everything on the menu is 280 yen (302 yen when you include tax), we always ate to our hearts content and didn’t spend a crazy amount of money.

As for personal souvenirs, Sean bought a some One Piece items and a Dragon Ball Z Art book, I on the other hard, bought a LOT of pen refills for my favourite pen, and a decent amount of ユーリー!!! on Ice (Yuri!!! on Ice) stuff. My favourite items being a calendar and  Yuuri Plush ❤

18280908_10212789189583771_1895142295_n

I already miss Japan and cannot wait to return, it was crazy to think it had been literally 2 years since I had been back. Sean loved it and we both agree that 11 days simply wasn’t enough, so when we return it will be for a lot longer!

LUSH Rub Rub Rub Body Scrub~*

Hey Everyone,

A while ago I was lucky enough to attend a Bloggers United x LUSH 2nd birthday bash! While there we got to watch some face scrubs be made, and as always learn more about the fabulous company that is LUSH. At the end of the night we were lucky enough to pick one full size product. I decided on getting the biggest size of Rub Rub Rub because I had used it before and was missing it in my life.

17391893_10212317015779721_1996426095_n

Rub Rub Rub is a scrub that is advertised to be used both in and out of the shower, so I will talk about both uses separately.

Out of the shower: I found that I did not enjoy using Rub Rub Rub on dry skin, the product obviously does not last as long or go as far on dry skin. Getting the product to move around on my leg was harder then I thought it would be. Sometimes it would cling to drier patches. I felt as well that my skin didn’t feel as nice afterwards, that it had not scrubbed my skin as well as it could have.

In the shower: I LOVE using this in the shower, as it spreads a lot easier on my skin and because I am already wet, the product goes further, which is important considering how expensive LUSH products can get. I also enjoy the fact that Rub Rub Rub can be used by itself as a soap, as the product smells amazing and suds up as soap normally does.

Overall I really enjoying using this scrub as it is not super abrasive. That being said, some of my friends can’t use this because it is still too strong for them, so if you are thinking of trying this maybe still get the smaller size first. I don’t use this all that often, only when I am shaving my legs (which is maybe once a week/ when my partner visits). If you are not a fan of strong smells you might not enjoy this smell, as it does smell strongly of the sea, which is something that I don’t mind. The best thing for me is that I can use a small amount and it moves easily on my skin and I can get everywhere that I want to. Because the product is finer, I find it easier to scrub parts where I am more inclined to get in grown hairs.

My own biggest issue with this is the packaging, which is a jar, because even right now there is product in the seal and I find that it is hard to get out because I don’t want to get the inside of the jar wet.

Otherwise this is one of my favourites and I am so glad that I get to have this huge jar to work through!

What are some of your favourite body scrubs?

LUSH Soaps – A new experiment

Hey Everyone,

I want to start off first by saying this by no means was my own idea! I came across this, like all great ideas, while browsing the internet. But I loved it so much that I had to do it myself and I thought I would share the idea with you as well!

Personally, I know there I times where I feel like I am just blasting through my LUSH soaps, which honestly discourages me from purchasing them, as they can get expensive. The idea I came across was the cut the blocks into smaller pieces, which hopefully means I can get more uses out of the block. But also means I can change the scent regularly, which I think is a nice bonus. Whether the soaps do last longer or not I will let you know down the track, as I have currently listened these soaps in my Buying and Finishing Products 2017 spread, but I am going to mark down the date I cut these as I plan to use them right away!

16934314_10212075556303385_871936325_n

Cutting up the blocks was a lot easier then I expected, but that could be because it was a warm day, and the red soap in particular, cut like butter (which was actually a little scary, considering I was using a butchers knife). I don’t have a specific knife in mind to recommend, but I would suggest using an older one that maybe doesn’t get as much love in the kitchen. I know its soap and you can just wash it off, but it still just seems weird to me to use the same knife that you would then cook with!

I cut up all my pieces in various shapes and sizes, some pieces were determined by how big the original piece was. Others are because I got mildly carried away and cut them small. I will be interested to see how long a piece lasts at this size. But I am excited as the idea of working through all these soaps.

If you are curious the soaps I cut up are:
Respect Your Elders
Figs & Leaves
Bohemian
(Don’t know the name of the last one, but it looked like a UK Post box)

I would love to see how you store your soaps! I am a mild collector and would love to see how you store yours!

18 Before 2018 – Update 1

Hey Everyone!

The first month of this project pan is done and dusted! I am excited to see what progress I have made. Just as I was taking the photos for this post, I realised there were some products I have hardly touched, so during March I am going to make a bigger effort to use those products!

Lip Balms

I used up only 1 lip balm this month and I am still super happy about it, as it is still the start of down-sizing my collection. Something that bothered me though is I swear I found another 3-5 floating around. So hopefully I can really start to dent this collection.Wearing lip balm at work has really been helping, so hopefully I can add more used lip balms to the collection next month.

Finished: Maybelline Baby Lips – Watermelon

Foundations

I have almost finished up my NARS All Day Luminous foundation and I am so happy about that! By the end of next month I will easily have that finished and will be well onto my way on the next one. I am moving onto the Australis Stay Put Foundation to use for work.

Hand Cream

Another category that I used up a product in! I think the one I was using though had expired as it was not as nice as I remember it being when I first started using it. But either way it is finished! I am finding that I am quickly working out which hand creams I like, and which ones just don’t work for me.

Finished: Soap and Glory Hand Food

Mascara

I finished a mascara and straight up threw one out because I hated it. I finally tried the Rimmel London mascara that had argon oil in it and just HATED IT. I don’t have much trouble with mascaras, but this transfered on me, and it was not even a hot day. I have moved on to other mascaras and I find that I am really missing my Tarte Lights Camera Lashes mascara, so I might have to make a Tarte order to have it back in my life.

Finished: Tarte Lights Camera Lashes, Rimmel London

Jeffree Star Cosmetics – Redrum

I used this once this month, so there isn’t really much for me to comment on. Sorry!

Sample Lip Products

I have been wearing these, but so far have not really made a dent in them. It is a little hard when I am working most of the time, or just staying home. But if I am just out doing errands I will generally reach for one of these. I need to pick one to focus on and see how I go, but hopefully they will start to be finished up.

Femme Fatale Cosmetics – Secret Shiney and Fire Opal (samples)

Left – Starting point         Right – Current

I can’t really tell how much progress I have made with Fire Opal, but that is ok, but I don’t really think I used it much through Feb. Secret Shiney on the other hand is starting to look loved and that makes me so happy! I have used this a lot more then I thought I would and even included it in some future looks, which I think is what has helped the most in using up this product. Either way, it is so nice to be able to see how much of a pigment I have used!

Rimmel London Blush – Pink Rose

I honestly can’t really tell how much I have used, it sort of looks like that pattern is finally starting to go away. So I will take that as a win! I use this everyday I work and that has been the biggest help. I still love this blush and have no problems wearing it all the time!

Urban Decay Naked Palette

Now I remember mentioning in my original post, but I will again, saying that the picture on the left was older then what I had originally started with, but I don’t mind as it still shows just how much I have used. I am so proud of the progress I have made on this palette and continuing to do. I have now switched up what shadows I use for work so hopefully there is more evidence of use in the next update.

Models Prefer NUDE Palette

I’m gonna be honest. I have not used this palette, looked at this palette, or even thought of this palette. Again though, as I mentioned in my original post, I wont really be using this palette until I have worked through my Urban Decay Palette a bit more.

Lipsticks, Lip Liner and Eyeliner

17078136_10212126546058097_1865219094_n

Rimmel London Red Fever

Honestly have not worn this. I think if I have not touched this by next month I am going to de-clutter it. I have had it for so long and I am clearly just not reaching for it.

M.A.C Mystical Lipstick LE

I am surprised to see progress on this as I do not remember wearing it! Either way, it is nice to see some progress on it. Hopefully I can continue working on it throughout March!

M.A.C. Girl About Town Lipstick

I clearly haven’t worn this lately, but I still love this shade. Sadly, I am not as drawn to pink lipstick as I once was.

Estee Lauder Tea Rose Lipstick

I will be honest, I did wear this in Feb, but not nearly enough to make this much progress, I was out shopping and this wound up while still in the case and so smooshed itself into the lid. I have since cleaned it up, but I suppose this is more my starting point now.

Max Factor Rose Lipliner

I honestly thought I had made less progress than this! I am so excited to see that progress! I am finding that this is actually a really good lip liner. It does not take a lot of product to cover my lips and I am more then happy to wear this by itself.

Rimmel London Nude Eyeliner

The one product I am probably the least surprised to see progress on. I have been making such an effort to work through this and I am glad to see how much that is paying off! Hopefully I can make even more progress next month!

Kat Von D Ink Liner – Trooper

I did use this in Feb for a makeup look, I don’t know how I feel about the felt tip as it did feel like it was drying up on me. But that could have been because of how much shadow I was trying to layer this over. Even then, I am still not a fan of this liner but I want to get my moneys worth!

With that, it brings us to the end of my first update! I am so proud that I have actually made a dent in a few of these items. It gives me real hope that I will be able to work through these products and get rid of a lot by the end of the year!

If you are doing a project pan, I would love to hear about it!

First Ever Dior Haul

Hey Everyone!

Because my birthday and Christmas are close to each other, I tend to collect a few gift cards. Normally I just buy something I have been lusting after, or make the cards work to get lots of little things. This time though, I decided to be a bit more adventurous. I wanted to get something that I would never even LOOK at if I did not have the gift cards, and that of course, is a high end brand like Dior. I have heard so many things about Dior that I knew I could not really make a bad choice.

While I knew I would not make a bad choice, I also knew that I did not want to spend too much, seeing as these are products that I normally do not even think about buying (Spoilers, I totally fail at this). I will admit that the woman at the counter sort of suckered me into getting more products, but I do not hold that against her because I regret nothing and she was the nicest sales assistant that I have ever come across!

16650434_10211945953223389_1682607582_n

Diorskin Nude Air Luminizer 002 ($95)

I don’t have many highlighters in my collection and so I decided to add another one! I also knew that picking up a highlighter would mean that I would have this in my collection for a long time! Which is always desired when you spend so much on a product. I swatched this and instantly fell in love! The powder is stupidly soft and leaves such a beautiful sheen to the skin. The Air Luminizers are not your ‘blinding, shine to the gods’ type of highlighter, which I am actually thankful for, as there are times where I don’t want something that in your face. One thing I have noticed though is that I will need to use a synthetic hair brush as my Nude by Nature brushes have a hard time picking up the product.

16651899_10211945949783303_1456161567_n

Dior Addict Lip Glow 006 ($49)

I had no intention of picking up a lip product, but I was convinced to do so to get the items you will see in the picture below. I have never tried a lip product as expensive as this before. But DAM! I put this on my lips for the first time today and OMG I get the why people love products like this. I have honestly never had something so nice on my lips. I could easily see myself getting the other two shades in this range. The colour you see is a subtle berry on the lips and I could not be happier with this shade. It is going to be perfect on days were I want a little colour on my lips. Thankfully, you don’t need a lot of this to get the pigment, here’s hoping the Lip Glow lasts me a long time!

16699982_10211945946543222_1132307352_n

Gift with Purchase (spend $120)

The reason I bought the lip product was to get this beautiful gift set. I did not plan to spend so much in my first shop, BUT I have no regrets as this gives me a chance to try more Dior products. I sadly wont be using the skin care products or the perfume for a while, as I plan to use them on my up-coming holiday. That red lipstick though, oooh boy I am excited to start using that! I am also in LOVE with the bag, my first every experience with a Dior bag. I had never even touched one, and now I can see why people love them. I get the Estee Lauder gift bags all the time, but this is hands down the nicest makeup bag I now own. I never want to lose this and I never want it to get dirty!

The woman at the counter let me know that these gift bags happen twice a year and are unadvertised, so do not be afraid to ask when they are having a gift with purchase. Because if you are new to Dior like I was, get a gift gives you more bang for your $$$.

I was so thankful to the sales assistant as she also gave myself and Pastels Sparkles a whole heap of perfume samples! So now I am truly set for skin care and perfumes while on holiday!

Please leave me a comment below on which high end brands you want to try! Or even which are your favourite products so I can keep an eye out in the future.

18 before 2018

Hey Everyone,

I mostly failed my 17 before 2017 and that was because I set the challenge to be too hard. While I didn’t hit pan or even come close to finishing some of those products I did finish others. But starting this challenge inspired me to continue and I have learnt from my mistakes. So this time I have given myself a whole year to finish products! Because of that, some of the products I list will be more general, because I am always trying to actually work through the products I have and find my holy grail!

Lip Balms

img_2409

A continuing theme from for other project pan is to work on my lip balm collection. I am constantly trying to figure out how many I have and I am just going to settle on 18+ which is simply too many! The aim is to wittle that number down to around 5 or so. I have figured out which brands I am loving at the moment so I only want them floating around. Thankfully I use lip balm a lot at work so lets hope I can make a good dent in this collection!

Foundation

16295937_10211790611939954_2144019860_n

As you can see I have a few, well, to me this is a few and it makes me a little unsettled to see all of these sitting on top of my vanity. So I have made it my mission to use up most of these! At the moment I only really want to keep the Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation and re-purchase the Kat Von D Lock It Foundation. But that opinion might change throughout the year. For work I am wearing the NARS All Day Luminous foundation because I was sucked in with the YouTube hype and actually really dislike this foundation.

Hand Cream

16237682_10211790611539944_645393303_n

Ah, hand cream, one of the many products that I keep buying thinking I will actually get into the habit of using it. Well, this year has to be the year, because the last thing I want is to see all those products going off in my cupboard. Hopefully this hand cream, along with many others, will be used up by the end of the year!

Mascara

16244477_10211790612059957_1021392455_n.jpg

I keep telling myself, no more mascara, you already have enough and I think this is the proof that I need that I do indeed have to many just sitting about. All of these are just my unopened mascaras. So clearly I am set for the year. Hopefully most of these will go throughout the year, whether because I loved them or simply hated them, we will find out!

Jeffree Star Cosmetics – Redrum

16216261_10211790612379965_1731540419_n

Ah, my beautiful Redrum from Jeffree Star, there is nothing wrong with this lipstick, I just feel that I should start working on this as it’s from the original release. I have also missed wearing red! Hopefully wearing Redrum will get my back into the swing of wearing a red. I am also interested to see how long this will actually take to use up, I haven’t worn it many times, that I remember, so I am looking forward to seeing when exactly I finish it.

Sample Lip Glosses

16237384_10211790611699948_1083651209_n

I did not realise how many sample lip glosses I had! As with the general theme, I want to use them up. I have never used up a lipgloss before so I am interested to see how this goes! Also interesting to note that they are nearly all the same colour haha!

Sample Eyeshadows – Femme Fatale Cosmetics – Fire Opal & Secret Shiney

16237556_10211790611739949_159489893_n

One of the true challenges for this project pan. I want to work through some pigments. I know there isn’t much in these samples, but they are also not colours that I wear everyday. I hope to be able to work through these, and maybe move onto other shadows throughout the year. I love my Femme Fatale pigments and so I am interested to see what looks I can create with these shadows.

Rimmel London Blush in Pink Rose.

16238049_10211790611859952_845962917_n

Probably an impossible feat, but I am going to try! I only want to hit pan on this product, if I get any hints of silver I will be immensely proud of myself. Once I had decided to start this project pan, I took this out and put it on top of my vanity, so I have been using it for a week already. Fingers crossed I can hit pan, these blushes are pigmented and beautiful!

Urban Decay Naked Palette

14801243_10210794106307936_1810303158_n

Still at it with this bad boy, I have nothing against this palette, I will probably repurchase it because I enjoy the shadows so much. I just want to work through more of it. The image above is older, as I have also hit pan on the shade Naked, due to using it as a transition shade for work. By the end of the year I want to have used more of the darker shadows in the palette. If not, I don’t really know what I will do with the palette, but I am sure I will think of something!

Models Prefer NUDE Palette

16244236_10211790612539969_1491460982_n

To not limit myself to mostly one palette throughout the year, I have also decided to add in this palette. It has received no love even though I have heard only good things about it! My main goal with this palette is to actually get some good use out of it. I already know which shades will get the most love, which is exciting in its own right!

Lipsticks, Lip Liner and Eyeliner

16295643_10211790713142484_239576981_n

I unashamedly took the idea to track these products in my Bullet Journal from Pastel Sparkles (her project pan linked). I love this idea and I feel it is a lot easier to track and also more encouraging when you can actually mark and see how much you have used! I also like how the products have marked my page, they brings some colour to the layout! I am most excited about finishing Girl About Town by MAC, simply because it would be the first lipstick I ever finished, and it is also the first MAC lipstick I ever bought.

Kat Von D Ink Liner – Trooper

IMG_1493

This poor sod makes a return. A product that I did not intend to pick up but for the life of me I am determined to use. I HATE using this on my eye, I don’t know how I used to love felt tip liners, but oh well. I mostly plan to use this for makeup looks that I want to do. It will be interesting to see how this lasts! But I think if by the end of the year it still isn’t finished. I will probably just declutter it, as I simply don’t love it as much as my other liners.

Finally, that is my 18 before 2018. I feel confident with most of these products, and because I have given myself just under year to complete this challenge, I know I will be able to work through most of them. If by the end of the year, I have only finished 10 products, that is more then OK! Because it is 10 products that are no longer floating around in my collection.

In regards to keeping myself accountable and you updated on my progress, I will most likely only post once a month, otherwise you will get sick of hearing about my project! But make sure to keep an eye out on my Instagram as I am sure that I will get excited and post some progress shots there.

LUSH Rundle Mall

Hey Everyone,

It’s been a week since the new store opened and I was given the chance to go in a night early and have a little look around. I want to start off this post by just saying how thankful I am to being invited to this event. This was my first offical PR event and I was lucky to go with my best friends. So thank you so much LUSH!

LushRundleRelaunch-0008.jpg

When we first walked into the store, we were greeted by some lovely ladies who gave us a gift card to spend and directed us to this lovely table. This was totally unexpected but appreciated! There were two drinks to pick from, and both were based on the LUSH products,  Shoot for the Starts and Bubbly. I chose the Bubbly drink, as I just enjoyed the look of it more, of course, it was delicious!

lushrundlerelaunch-0009

Here is a bit of an over view of the store, as you can see it is SOOOOO much bigger then the last one, which is so refreshing. One of my favourite features is the fact that there is a ramp as well as stairs to the second floor. I have friends who now can enjoy the store where they could not before because of its awkward size. Excellent touch LUSH and I am sure it’ll get a lot of use in the Christmas rush.

Once we had all made our way in, we were given the chance to wonder around the store and catch up with friends. Because my little group was first through the door, we moved straight to the back of the store to make sure that there was enough room for everyone to get in. My little group ended up at the hair care area and it was amazing. After a demo of the products (where my hair was often used because it was down, no complaints) I now know other products that I need in my life. One that I really want is Queen Bee because we put this in my hair and it felt amazing! Plus it has no packaging which is always good.

Next we moved onto one of my favourite parts of the night, well for me anyway. MAKING OUR OWN BATH BOMB. OMG, dream come true! We all got the chance to make our own Shoot For the Stars Bath bomb, and can I just say, they are a lot harder to make then I thought. Trying to get the stars to stay on the outside and looking pretty takes some practice. The ladies in charge of the station were so lovely and explained what the process was, there is a bath bomb at LUSH that takes 4 days to make because of its complexity! It was good to hear too that in the LUSH factory the staff make it a challenge to see how many someone can make in a day.

Once everyone had the chance to settle in and take some initial photos, we were officially greeted and welcomed to the new store! It is crazy to hear that little Adelaide now has the BIGGEST store in Australia, and the first store out of England to have a party area! Adelaide has been recognised as a state that supports LUSH and so it was amazing that we have been granted such a title. One thing I didn’t realise about LUSH was how they farmed their ingredients, growing up in a farming family I understand the importance of keeping the land healthy and happy. LUSH feels the same way, so they go out of their way to make sure the land they get their ingredients from is healthy, and that the towns and people are also looked after.

After this lovely speech, we were given free reign of the store and was allowed to shop to our hearts content! I went around talking to staff asking about products, and of course, talking about the size of the new store. I learnt that the staff size in Adelaide also tripled, so good news all around!

This is the party area I mentioned above, for the night it was taken over by smoothy making booth! You could jump on a bike, pedal away and BOOM you have a delicious drink that you mildly made yourself. There was even chocolate that you could sprinkle over the drink which made it even better (one staff member mentioned how she had been put in charge of cutting the chocolate).

These were the beautiful people I spent most of my night with, and it was so good to catch up with them! Going from left to right, I’ll link everyone in these photos!
Ren Nay
Pastel Sparkles
ProcrastiCaitlan
How To Girl dot Net
I am so thankful that I can go to events with these beautiful ladies! They always make the night enjoyable and we always just end up taking funny photos and giving each other lists of things that we need in our life.

And one final thank you to Promote SA for being there for us Adelaide Bloggers! Without you we wouldn’t be having these amazing events!

At the end of the night, these were the items I picked up, I also have a knot scarf, but it is not in this photo. I have always wanted one of the scarfs, so why not! I plan to do reviews on all these products, but if there is something you want to see first, please leave me a comment below. Please note all of these products were bought with the gift card that I was provided with at the start of the night.

AvoBath Bath Bomb
Shoot for the Stars – Made by me
The Magic of Christmas Bubble Bar

Thank You again LUSH for hosting such an amazing night and letting me come along. I know I will visit LUSH more often now with the bigger store which is always exciting! I also now have a wish list of products that I want from LUSH after touching all the different products, so look out for future LUSH hauls!

17 Project Pan Before 2017

~*~*~ Please check out my New Project Pan!! ~*~*~

Hey Everyone!

As mentioned in this post, I am making a real effort to use my current products, but I want to try and focus on a few products to really monitor my progress. I need to motivate myself to work through what I have and it is always nice to see progress. I have also been really enjoying Pastel Sparkles Project Pan posts, so that is also a motivator to do this. Also strolling through the internet, I saw someone had made a post with a similar title, so why not!

I really want try and have a bit variety, that way I can really work through everything and not feel stuck on one type of product. Also if I use up a product I will replace it with another that is similar, so if I use up a face powder, I’ll put another one in! At the end I will make a total tally which should be exciting.

After going through my collection I have come to the conclusion that I will really be focusing on lip and ‘base’ products, because I am in no way going to put myself through the pain of trying to use up an eyeshadow or blush (I have learnt from you Sarah). This doesn’t bother me though, as there are some items in my collection that really do need to be used up, and now I’m aware of them! So onwards to my 17 items.

NARS All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation
I have had this in my collection for a long time and I just don’t love it like I love some of my other foundations. I find that this is just SO watery and I hate that, recently though while collecting my Beauty Loop box, the assistant told me of a different way of applying it, so I shall see how I go! I know at the moment the bottle doesn’t show how much is left, but there is about 2/3 left to go.

Estee Lauder Perfume – Beautiful
I have had this for a while, and I find that it just doesn’t last on me. That doesn’t change how much I love this scent though, I just feel like it is finally time that I finish it and get it out of my collection. There really isn’t much left so fingers crossed I can finish it! I am just going to say now that I am not suddenly going to start wearing this everyday, how I smell is SO important to me for many different reasons. So I will use this but not everyday!

Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay-in-Place Powder Makeup – 1N1 ECRU 12
Another product that I have just had for ages, in this photo you can sort of see a dip in the product. I have been using this more recently anyway as I have run out of my loose powders, so I am glad that I am already used to the idea of using this. I don’t think this will be hard to use up, but I will be glad when I am finally finished.

MAC Viva Glam Lipstick – Miley Cyrus (Amplified)
I bought this when it came out and I just haven’t used it! I miss wearing such bold colours, and seeing as we are coming into Spring I should have a lot of chances to wear this. This is almost brand new, and I could probably sell it, but I want to try and work through it. Lets see how I go!

MAC Lipstick –  Girl About Town (Amplified)
One of the first MAC lipsticks I ever bought and I really do love it, its just it’s getting old and I should really finish it and get a new one! I am pretty sure I have 6 items for back-to-mac but adding more wont hurt! I will be getting another one of this shade once I’m finished I’m sure of it.

Estee Lauder Pure Colour Lipstick – Rose Tea (Creme)
This is another lipstick that is pretty much brand new, but it is a nice Spring nude so I am sure I will get a lot of love out of this, I tend to favour my Jeffree Star Lippies or my MAC ones, so I really want to use this! One thing that always annoys me though is how strong of a smell these have. It’s not a bad smell, just really strong, thankfully it doesn’t last on the lips.

Buxom Lip Gloss – Zoe
I have used this once since I bought this, so I need to use it up. I will not lie, I bought it because it has my name on it.

14794186_10210794106587943_125864573_n

Urban Decay Primer Potion – Original
This is obviously not in its original packaging. I got the bigger size because I thought why not, not realising that it had an applicator that I really don’t like. I have had this for a while and simply want to use it up. I did not realise how much was left in this! I think this is going to take longer then I first thought to finish, because of how much is there. Don’t forget to cut open the packaging guys!

14797491_10210794106707946_2002326801_n

Bare Minerals Marvelous Moxie Sample Lipstick – Make Your Move
I don’t remember when I got this, I think it was in a previous Beauty Loop box, I have nothing against this lipstick, I just want to use it up! It is so small, I shouldn’t have any problems finishing this. I won’t lie, this is mildly in here just so I can at least 100% pat myself on the back for finishing SOMETHING.

NARS Satin Lip Pencil – Rikugien
My sister got this when we went to Sephora in America and signed up for the loyalty system. She isn’t a fan on nude shades so I was lucky enough to get it! I really don’t give my lip pencils much love and so I want to try and do that, so I thought starting with a sample would be a good idea.

Estee Lauder Pure Colour Envy Lipstick – 340 Envious
I bought this around the time these lipsticks were getting lots of hype. I paid $15AUD just for this little guy! Crazy! But I got it because I wanted to try a sample before committing to the full size which was around $55 at the time. This is a beautiful red lipstick so I am sure I will have no problems using it up. I just wanted to give myself a bit more colour choice throughout this project.

14797538_10210794106667945_1184888892_n

Max Factor Lip Liner – 16 Rose
I don’t know how long I have had this, but it is still good to use and a beautiful colour! I simply don’t give enough love to my lip liners and so I want to change that. I am hoping I will get lots of use out of this and will get into the habit of using lip liners.

Face of Australia Lip Definer – Sugar Rose
Well I’m kind of glad I hadn’t used too much of this else I would have no idea what the shade name was! I have used this recently and found I loved pairing this with one of my other lip glosses so that is a win. Another easy shade to wear, I might even repurchase this and other shades if I like the formula.

Rimmel Scandal Eyes Waterproof Kohn Kajel – 005 Nude
Pretty sure I bought this at one of Priceline’s famous cosmetics sales. I wanted to use it for work and daily life instead of black all the time. I sort of fell off that and so I want to get back into it! I figured this shouldn’t be too hard to use and will let me know if I want to get this again or try a different brand.

Kat Von D Ink Liner – Trooper
A sad story behind  this liner. I never meant to pick it up, I was meant to get the Tattoo Liner, so I want to try and love this for what it is! You might be wondering why it is in this photo, well, its going to be my ‘control’ against the other pencils. Thankfully this wont shrink and so I will be able to see my progress.

14801243_10210794106307936_1810303158_n

Urban Decay Naked Palette
This is the one product I do not aim to COMPLETELY finish up, I want to try and hit pan on this as much as possible! I am even thinking of doing a ‘Naked November’ series where every makeup look I create in November I have to use this palette. That will both help me use it up and challenge myself to be more creative. I have already hit pan on a couple of shades and close to some others. While the darker shades I have barely touched which is something I want to change. Might have picked a bad time seeing as we are coming into warmer weather, but I will make it work!

Last but not least, Lip Balms
I am going to be broad on this, I will focus on mostly one at a time, but I SERIOUSLY need to cull down my lip balm collection, I have at least 5 hidden away that haven’t even been open and I feel a bit ridiculous because of that. I don’t know at this point how many I want to get down to, as I generally have a few floating around, but having 10+ lip balms is just too much! So I will show which one I am working in my next post and we shall see how we go.

That’s it! My 17 Project Pan before 2017. I am really looking forward to this, finishing up products is always a great experience because it means you actually used the product to the end. I am sure there are some products that I am just going to get frustrated over but oh well! When I do I will decide what to do from there.

If you are doing a Project Pan of any kind I would love to see it!

Me and My Make-up!

Hey Everyone,

Today’s post is going to be about how I am slowly changing and realising how I want to do my makeup. I am getting to a stage in my life where I just want to do my makeup in a style that I truly want to be in.

IMG_0907

This is  the first selfie that is in my media file attached to my blog. I can already see things that I do different which is exciting. I used to wear really light eyeshadows, all shimmer, no contour and bold lipsticks. I liked how I looked and I could tell I was learning! I was doing my brows but not really knowing what I was doing (to be honest I still don’t). I was in Japan when I really started to blog which was exciting!

c82cf-img_0974

Gosh this is a throwback, over a year ago I did this look and loved it! I must have just received Jeffree Star Cosmetics Weirdo and wanted to play around with dark makeup. I’m also pretty sure I was having a shitty day so that probably encouraged this look as well. This look was the first time I had played with such dark makeup, but I do think this is where it all began. I scared the crap out of my unit mates and my boyfriend showered me in compliments, I also got such positive feedback from this look, which I was thankful for.

IMG_0055

Brows = check, Bold lips = check, learning how to blend eyeshadow = kinda check? I am still learning how I want my eyeshadow to look, but I am mostly trying to learn how to blend shadows together, still, I am using reasonably light shadows and colours. I don’t know what drew me to them, but I was using neutrals all the time and always wearing bold lips. I think I didn’t want to wear bold on bold.

IMG_1775

To more recent times, I ADORE this makeup look. Blond lips, bold eyes and a wing liner I will probably never be able to recreate. This was the first time I have ever really gone ‘stuff it, I will wear what I want’, I LOVE grunge, not super grunge, but that style in general. So I tried to do what I felt comfortable with, even though I did this look at home and didn’t go out that day, I don’t regret creating it. I need to re-create it and wear it out and about. If you want to see what products I used, I wrote a whole post about it here.

13595385_10209777229046640_1735504603_n

Not the best quality photo, sorry about that, but this is sort of what my daily style has become and I really enjoy it. I love wearing dark shadows and bold lips. I honestly just like bold colours haha! I clearly still haven’t mastered brows but that is ok, I don’t want perfect brows. I know how I like my contour, blush and highlight which is something. I have noticed a bigger change in my style since I died the underside of my hair purple, which I am happy with.

Remember overall, makeup is personal and it is ok to change! I am so happy with how my makeup looks and there is every chance that in 6 months time my style will change again!

The important point that I want to make out of this post is the freedom to change your look and style whenever you want. Everyone is constantly changing how they do their makeup and that is ok! Just remember that at the time you thought you were smashing it!
